Here’s a step by step of a box truck we did that was part of a larger fleet graphics project we did for our customer.

After this truck showed up the graphic designer from the company provided us with the artwork they wanted displayed on the box. We took artwork and manipulated the art work so it would be the correct size to fit on the truck and still be visually proper.

Printing Steps

After that we tiled the artwork so it could be printed on our 54 inch vinyl. We left room so we could do a 1/2 inch over lap. Next we printed it to the appropriate vinyl for wrapping the box. Then we laminated it with our laminator. The laminate will add extra UV protection and extended the life of the wrap. Next we trimmed the vinyl to remove any excess.

Installation

Lastly we installed the vinyl on the truck. We took the proper steps to make sure it was aligned properly. on the truck. We had to be careful when we installed over the rivets so we wouldn’t crease the vinyl. Then we used heat to form the vinyl around them. When necessary we used an air release tool to make holes in the vinyl to release any air around the rivets. Before we completed the job we used an adhesive promoter to help some of the tuff edges adhere properly.
